A young couple bought the land and worked the vines with the ambition of producing wines that were simple yet remarkable. Tragically, during the record harvest of 1926, the wife died. Her death remains unsolved and she is rumoured to appear when there is a full moon during the harvest.
On the nose this wine has aromas of toasted almonds and pie crust that give way to lemon cream and chai. The palate is elegant with mouth-watering acidity and texture. On the pallet flavours of pears, apples and briny wet stone continue to linger. Pairs well with shellfish, salmon, trout, chicken, turkey or pork.
